NORWALK NIGHT OF FIRE UPDATE
Aug 10, 2011
Author: Bobby Martin

We have the stoutest tune-up ever in the car right now.

The final touches are being applied to the Rush Willys including a polish job. I mean the car is as ready as it can be. We will speed up the blower for this event, and with all the other tune-up parameters, this will by far be the stoutest tune-up we've ever had in the car. I'm confident it will run the best numbers we've ever turned, it remains to be seen how that stacks up against the killer field that will be assembled for Door Wars.

Here's a some advice directly from the track: Please-please-please get here early! We have plenty of parking and easy access to the facility but no matter how you cut it there will be lines.

Without exaggerating, this is the world's largest one-day drag race in the history of the sport and even though we try, it's impossible to get everyone in all at once.

Now we're not saying you will be sitting in your car all day but there's a chance it could take up to a half-hour once you get close to the party. Tune in to 88.5 on your FM radio when you get close!

If you have never been here before we are located at the intersection of Routes 18 & 601 on the eastern outskirts of Norwalk, Ohio. All you have to do is get close to the track and follow the signs. The parking is located on Route 18 just west of the drag strip itself.

We will make our first qualifying attempt at 12 noon. There is another qualifying session scheduled for 2:30pm. Pre-race ceremonies start at 5:30 and the official start of Night Under Fire is 7:00pm. I hope to see you there!
