BOBBY MARTIN TO TRAVEL WITH FRANK HAWLEY'S DRAG RACING SCHOOL
Jul 14, 2010 Author: Bobby Martin

I'm very excited to work for Frank Hawley at his upcoming schools in Atlanta, Norwalk, and Indy.

Bobby Martin, the 2009 NHRA U.S. Nationals Top Alcohol Funny Car Champion, will get to share his experiences with students at upcoming Frank Hawley Drag Racing Schools in Atlanta, Norwalk, and Indianapolis. The agreement is effective through July 30th. Frank Hawley, the two time NHRA Funny Car Champion, is celebrating 25 years as the premier drag racing instructor in the world. Most of the major names in the sport have spent time under Hawley's tutelage. "I'll serve in a variety of ways," said Martin, "mainly to assist Frank's crew, the students, and Frank himself. We'll also visit Roger Burgess' R2B2 Racing, where Frank is the General Manager. I'm very excited about this opportunity." Martin will travel with Hawley's team to Atlanta for a Top Alcohol course, then on to Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk OH for some doorslammer and dragster classes, then to Indianapolis. Martin said, "This is great. Frank Hawley's courses are great for drivers at any stage of their careers from beginners to pros. I get to hang with "The Professor" for two weeks. I'm sure I'll learn plenty myself!"
