Veteran Funny Car pilot and reigning NHRA U.S. Nationals Champion Bobby Martin will appear with his 3200 horsepower Dodge Charger Top Alcohol Funny Car for a two day visit to Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center April 30th and May 1st. Students in Automotive Technology, Auto Body Technology, Welding, Diesel Tech and more will hear Bobby at a special assembly at the school on Friday, April 30th. Martin plans to focus on goal setting, exciting career opportunities in the automotive world, as well as some of his struggles and challenges along the way. The students will then have the opportunity to take a close-up look at Martin's 250 mile per hour race car along with a question and answer session. On Saturday May 1st, Pickaway-Ross holds its annual custom car show at the school, with Martin's car as a featured attraction. Bobby will be there the entire day to meet people and talk racing. The show runs from 10am -2pm with judging completed by 3pm. Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center's secondary education programs provide complete academic, career, and technology training to give students a foot up on the economic ladder. Pickaway-Ross also offers adult education programs to prepare students for the job market. Pickaway-Ross is located at 895 Crouse Chapel Road, Chillicothe OH 45601. For more information call the school at 740.642.1282.

You read it right, the Charger Funny Car strikes again. I look forward to meeting the students and staff at Pickaway-Ross and taking part in the car show. We will be showing the "car formerly known as the CAP CHARGER" for this event. The car is in race-ready condition and I'm excited about getting it out there in the sun where it looks its best. Friday especially looks like it's going to be a killer weather day in Chillicothe. Stay tuned as we're working on some neat new stuff with the Rush Willys!
